Grilled Lamb Burgers on Naan
¾ pound ground lamb
1 – 1.5 tbsp good quality lamb seasoning (we bought a dynamite one in Tombstone that was locally made, but I’m sure your local foodie market or farmers market has some options)
1/2 cup feta cheese
Salt & Pepper (use salt sparingly if your lamb seasoning has salt already in it)
1 package naan bread
1 tomato, sliced
1/3 English cucumber, sliced
In medium bowl, combine lamb seasoning and ground meat. Separate into two portions and flatten out, creating a small bowl. Put ¼ cup feta cheese on the center of each patty and wrap the patty around the cheese so it’s enclosed in the middle.
Prepare your grill and cook the burgers over medium high heat. Once cooked to your desired doneness, arrange your tomatoes and cucumber on the naan bread and place the burger on top. Since the naan is not typically used for burgers, it might be easiest to cut the finished burger up in 4 or 5 pieces and serve open faced. This is how we did it, but you might decide that doesn’t work for you.
